After the rain – Anime

This song comes to my mind everytime I think about the things that make you fall in love with the language. The delicate words that describe the memory of love in this song caress my heart strings in ways unimaginable. Aimer’s spell binding voice is the major contributor too. I am grateful that this song also introduced me to the singer Aimer.

Perfomed and lyrics by: Aimer ; composition by: Masahiro Tobinai

English Translation

Raining, in the rain showers on a summer afternoon under an umbrella

Kissing, I kissed gently on your wet cheeks

I am still longing for that season

Miss you,  the sceneries outside the window fades away

Breezing, I saw the rainbow and it seemed to disappear quickly

So, I hope it doesn’t rain tomorrow

I am unable to focus on anything, days spent lost in thought

Nothing but you are the part of me

It’s still not enough

It still won’t fade away

The innocense in the palms of our joined hands

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew

I am soaked in that phrase in the rain

It’s just not enough

I still can’t say it

The goodbye from the dreams of counted days

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew

If we hadn’t touched, would we be still smiling?

Calling, the white breath soaring beneath the sky

Freezing, the strong winds are chilling my hands a bit

And along with my weakness, they are inside my pockets

No matter where I look, the days have long passed by

Nothing, but you are the part of me

I want to touch you again

You are just so bright

That I turn my eyes away from your kindness without realizing

I wanna sleep in your feel

I wanna see you in the deep

These phrases line up in the song that I sing now

On that road returning home, cradled by the bus

I saw a dream that is not supposed to come true

I wanna sleep in your feel

I wanna see you in the deep

I still can’t get used to the repeating seasons

If I had been a little more mature, what would I have said?

It’s still not enough

It still won’t fade away

The innocense in the palms of our joined hands

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew

I am soaked in that phrase in the rain

It’s just not enough

I still can’t say it

The goodbye from the dreams of counted days

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew

If we hadn’t touched, would we be still smiling?

Japanese

Raining

Kissing

Breezing

Nothing but you’re the part of me

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew

Calling

Freezing

Nothing but you’re the part of me

I wanna sleep in your feel

I wanna see you in the deep

I wanna sleep in your feel

I wanna see you in the deep

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew

What a good thing we lose?

What a bad thing we knew.
